Your Business Runs While You Inspect
Enter the email address you enrolled with and we'll pull up your account.
Not set up yet? Start here — it takes two minutes, then this form opens on its own.
Can't get in? Email support@bookedsolidinspector.com and we'll sort it out.
This tells us how your business runs so Josh books, prices, and talks exactly the way you do — and your calendar, agreements, and follow-ups all match. It takes about 20 minutes, and it saves as you go, so you can stop and pick up right where you left off.
Need to stop partway? Just close the tab — everything you've typed is already saved. To pick up where you left off, go to bookedsolidinspector.com/onboarding.html and enter the email address you signed up with. It will bring you straight back to this form, filled in.
The basics we greet callers with.
Why we ask for your story. "How long have you been doing this?" is one of the most
common questions a caller asks, and it is usually the moment they decide. With nothing here
Josh has to say "the team will confirm that", which sounds like he's dodging.
He will only ever say what you write. He will never invent a year in business, a number of
inspections, or a licence number — those are regulated claims, and a made-up one is worse
than no answer. Anything you leave out, he simply says he doesn't have in front of him.
About that backup number. Josh answers your calls. On the rare occasion he can't — our
equipment, or one of the services he relies on — the phone company sends the call straight to
this number instead, so your caller reaches a person rather than silence. It happens at the
phone company, not on our system, so it still works even when nothing of ours is running.
It only fires when a call would otherwise fail, so it will not ring during normal business.
But it can ring at any hour, because callers ring at any hour — so give us a phone you
are willing to have go off at two in the morning. Type N/A if you would rather we didn't,
and we'll take a message instead.

— what's covered, what isn't, and how to change this number later.
We can text you the moment a booking comes in, and if something urgent changes on a job, so you're not watching your inbox. This is separate from the backup number above — that one rings, this one texts.
Use a mobile you carry. If you leave this blank we'll text your business phone instead.
A short bio + credentials for each. When someone's requested inspector isn't free, Josh can offer another by name — "we've got Mike at your time, here's his credentials" — so the job stays in-house.
What you inspect — so Josh recommends the right services and never books a job you don't handle.
Set the fee in "What adds to the price" below, under travel beyond your service area.
The heart of it — how Josh quotes and when he offers your package.
| Home size — from | up to | Your price | How long it takes |
|---|
Leave the price blank on any band you'd rather quote by hand — Josh will say the team will confirm it instead of guessing. "How long it takes" is optional, but if you fill it in Josh books the right amount of time for a big house instead of a standard slot.
| Property type | Do you inspect it? | How you price it |
|---|
Write it however you'd explain it to a customer on the phone — "square footage off the table above", "$425 flat plus add-ons", "custom quote, we call them back". There is no standard in this industry and Josh will use your words, not an assumption.
| Feature of the home | How much you add |
|---|
Set both prices for each — the price with a home inspection and the standalone price. (Almost every inspector charges less when it's bundled — e.g. radon $125 with an inspection, $250 on its own. Josh needs both so he never quotes wrong.) Leave a box blank if you don't offer it that way.
“On its own?” is what tells Josh whether he may sell a service without an inspection. No = only ever alongside one. Ask us first = he takes their details and says someone will call them back, instead of quoting or booking it. Use it where travel or circumstances mean you want to look before you commit.
Different callers need different things. Tell Josh how you like each handled — leave blank to use his sensible default.
Two steps: pick the start times you offer, then tick which of them you run on each day. These become the open slots Josh books into, and he blocks each one so you're never double-booked.
| First | Second | Third | Fourth |
|---|---|---|---|
A buyer usually has 7–10 days to use their inspection contingency, so booking further out mostly produces no-shows.
Write down anything unusual here, even if it feels obvious to you. The grid above tells Josh which hours to offer. This box tells him the rules behind them — and rules are where bookings go wrong. One inspector's calendar said no Saturdays while his own website advertised Saturday mornings; whichever a caller heard, the other one made us look wrong.
Check what matters to you. Some inspectors want it all; some just need square footage and "is there a pool?"
When a booking is made, we send your inspection agreement to sign and a secure payment link (your own Stripe account). Never a card number by voice.
This form is the source of truth for everything Josh quotes and books. Please review your prices, services, and coverage above, then confirm.
Every question needs an answer before you can submit. If something doesn't apply to your business, just type N/A — that tells Josh it was considered rather than forgotten. Your answers keep saving as you go either way.
