How to run Claude Code — Ken and Beth

Written in plain words, at a sixth-grade reading level, because Ken asked for that twice. It does not teach prompting — he is already good at that. It shows where the prompt goes.

Who is who. Three separate Claude logins. Ken and Dil share the Outcrop‑Q files; Beth has the Home Inspector Help ones. Beth’s login starts with the word “ken” and is not Ken’s.

Where Josh stands — phone, web chat, test line

Sunday 13 September: twenty-six sets of changes merged, six deploys to the live phone, 26 test calls on Chad’s line and 473 graded web chats. Nothing reached a client — all four early-adopter lines are test lines (Dil, 9 September).

Web chat. 473 test chats found five faults a customer would see; all five fixed and re-checked live. Then the real one: the web chat could not finish a booking. Three faults were in the way — the email answer not counted, the reply limit cutting off the save, a false “you’re all set”. All three fixed. Next check: a full booking, saved, on all four pages.
Phone. Ken’s “no email, no booking” is live and proved on two test runs. Numbers are said right, two houses on one call keep both prices, and the closing promise is built from what we hold. All of it is on the phone as of 10:36 a.m. Texas time (deploy runs 60 and 61): Ken’s sentence said by the software, the spouse phrasings, the spelled email saved, two recap guards, the ZIP-in-words fix, and the three fixes from run 8’s log.
Test line. More than twenty faults found in-house with no test credits spent. The 400-call fuzzer now runs in every test run. Ken’s spouse rebuttal fires instead of a goodbye.
Still open. The spelling guard fired on a live call for the first time (run 8’s log); what remains is the transcriber’s own text for code-word and letter-by-letter spellings, and logging the caller’s exact words for one run is Dil’s call. The last name has no read-back. Updates hang up on live web chats (Dil’s call).
Needs Ken. Words for the “I can’t catch that” line and the failed-save line; whether to cap a caller who answers nothing; the two ISN calls; the test company’s own pass marks.
